Firenze Wall Clock in White Width 36cm by Alessi
Alessi has been producing designer kitchenware since 1921 and is the symbol of Italian design worldwide. Their products are considered as being handicraft items made with the aid of machines. The brand has worked with hundreds of designers since the early seventies, which has given Alessi its unique and innovative signature.
With large simple convex face and roman numerals, this clock bridges the design gap between traditional and contemporary. Named after the city where the prototype was presented in 1965, Firenze is the redesign of a classical wall clock, stripped down to its basic face. Once again, one has to look for the hidden expressionistic twist: the Roman numeral IV is misspelled "IIII." Designed by Achille Castiglioni, 1965 for Alessi, Italy.
